From April 22nd to May 8th, 2016, a selection of jewelry created by the goldsmith artist Roberta Risolo will be presented at the Carlo V Castle in Lecce.
The exhibition is part of the "Itinerario Rosa 2016" event, organized by the Department of Culture, Entertainment, and Tourism of the Municipality of Lecce.
It represents a collection of jewels, sometimes small sculptures or architectures, that trace the last five years of Roberta Risolo's artistic expression.
Jewels displayed in national and international, solo and group exhibitions, created according to the exclusive language used by the artist, who combines goldsmithing tradition with materials from her land, such as olive wood and Lecce stone, often set like small tesserae and joined together with a harmonious bond on precious weaves and workings.
The metal used is common, such as brass or bronze, but it is made precious by the working technique used, combined with experimentation. The combination of the workings with the colors of the materials creates a surprising effect; it is no coincidence that a very significant creation is: Box Surprise, a necklace as a "container" of materials and workings, with a surprise: its double wearability.
The Aureo bracelet, which encloses the most significant works of the artist Gustav Klimt in its five links, is a majestic jewel!
Years of study and work in Vicenza triggered the path of research and enhancement of her territory, a work developed through materials and architectures of Salento's history, from Otranto to Lecce, including Galatina, which find expression through jewelry made even more precious by the message they represent. In addition to the collection of unique pieces, the latest collections will be exhibited.
At the end of the exhibition, the new Roberta Risolo Art Jewels store will open in Otranto, Porta Terra.
