Roberta Risolo is in Rome to participate in the second edition of the International Jewelry Competition gioielloinarte, promoted by the University and Noble College of Goldsmiths, Jewelers, and Silversmiths of the Alma Civitas of Rome.
The competition, announced in 2015, concludes with an exhibition of selected jewelry at the University's headquarters in via S. Eligio in Rome from May 21 to 29.
The theme of the exhibition is Bernini's Rome: "If in the first edition, which had as its theme Gustav Klimt's Pictorial Preciousness, we stimulated the imagination and creativity of the participants with a certainly fascinating and inspiring theme, in the second edition with Bernini's Rome we wanted to give candidates the opportunity to be inspired simply by admiring the beauties of Rome; the quality of the jewelry created for the competition has amply rewarded us for this choice." These are the words of Corrado di Giacomo, Consul Chamberlain of the University and Noble College of Goldsmiths, Jewelers, and Silversmiths of the Alma Civitas of Rome.

Technique used:
Modeling and soldering of metal: brass, creation of bezels, mounted on the structure with a guide that allows movement, setting of cabochon carnelian stones, creation of a bezel for Lecce stone prepared and set to size, modeling and mounting of a small olive wood element fixed to the metal, silver plating.

Bernini, an eclectic artist, with technical virtuosity and communicative effectiveness in his mark, represents grace and majesty with his art.
I followed my expressive language in the choice of materials: the candor of Lecce stone evokes Baroque sculptures, while olive wood expresses warmth and refers to origins, in the spiral that envelops the hand and arm, with the idea of arousing wonder in those who observe it.
After years of study and work in Vicenza in the high jewelry sector, in 2012 I created the Roberta Risolo art jewels brand, participating in various national and international exhibitions, both collective and solo, with the desire to tell the story of Salento through my jewels, in the architectures and materials such as Lecce stone and olive wood.
