The Maria d'Enghien Necklace is a very unique piece of art; in my view, it represents the synthesis of the life of a Woman dearly loved by her people.
For those unfamiliar with her story, Maria d'Enghien, Countess of Lecce, later became Queen of the Kingdom of Naples in Taranto, but paid dearly for her freedom and choices, as ironically she was imprisoned.
