My brooch "Sweet Femininity" is on display
The allegorical figures of the woman and the bull – recurring in the work of the Andalusian artist – enter into symbiosis in ROBERTA RISOLO’s brooch.
The co-presence of the two subjects is not immediately clear, especially when the piece is worn. The sweet curve that designs the figure's hips and the circularity of the piece are inspired by the generous roundness of the female representations in the artist's ceramics. Its silhouette forms the clasp, of which only the brass wires are visible on the front, stretched out like open arms and then twisted to hold the pearls – representations of the globular breasts typical of Picasso's style. Changing focus, the image transfigures and takes on animalistic features, of which we now glimpse the eyes and the snout seen frontally.
In Greek mythology, the bull is a metaphor for the bestial and wild nature of man; in Picasso's culture of origin, it is both a sacrificial victim and a symbol of devastating power. Roberta performs a synthesis, both formal and intellectual: in identifying with the female universe, the woman becomes a reflection and counterpart to the bull's nature, encompassing characteristics of vulnerability and atonement, but also fertility and generative power.

The exhibition "RECODING Picasso", or "RECODING Picasso", aims to keep open and fertile the debate that explains the very existence of contemporary jewelry, and wants to do so through the filter of the provocative genius of the Spanish master.
Picassian inspiration - whether it focuses on the ceramic production of the Grassi-Vismara collection at the GAM in Milan or looks multifaceted at the vast activity - aims to be the creative engine for the 10 protagonists who will each exhibit a piece of jewelry at Haruko Ito's atelier in Via Tivoli in Brera - Milan:
