The Otranto Film Fund Festival is now in its eighth edition and will take place from September 15 to 18, 2016. Organized by the Municipality of Otranto with the Apulia Film Commission Foundation and the Institute of Mediterranean Cultures, it aims to be a moment of in-depth study of productions made with the support of Film Funds and Film Commissions and the promotion of works at an international level, through an observatory dedicated to film production within the Adriatic-Ionian macro-region.
Roberta Risolo creates the awards for OFFF - Otranto Film Found Festival 2016: the OFFF 2016 Best Film Award and the OFFF 2016 Critics' Award are two sculptures made entirely by hand. The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, September 18 at 10:45 PM at Largo Porta Alfonsina, at the conclusion of the Film Festival.

The Best Film Award and the Critics' Award are two sculptures made entirely by hand by Otranto-based jewel designer Roberta Risolo. The inspiration comes from the Palascìa Lighthouse, at Italy's easternmost point, a crossroads between East and West; a place that, like the Festival itself, is a symbol of dialogue and encounter between Mediterranean cultures.
The olive wood of the base, solid and long-lived, is a characteristic that has always united these lands with the strength of their roots. At the top, the O element of Otranto, with the Lecce stone set within it, rotates 360° and symbolizes the light of the lighthouse that opens views to nearby horizons.
